The Pink city of Jaipur, an erstwhile Princely state, synonymous with the name of Late Maharaja of Jaipur, the world renowned Polo player Maharani Ayesh, considered to be the most beautiful women in the world as described by famous photographer Cecil Beaton and of course Agra, the city of one of the wonders of the world – the Taj Mahal.

 

DAY 1 – DEPART

DAY 2 – ARRIVE BOMBAY

Meeting & assistance on arrival and welcome with garlands and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum, Aquarium, Jain temple, Hanging Gardens offering nice view of Marine lines & Chowpatty beach, Kamla Nehru Park, Mani Bhawan (where Mahatma Ghandi used to stay) and Dhobi Ghat. Drive past Afgan Church, flora Fountain (Bombay’s nerve centre), colour-ful Crawford market and Marine Drive

DAY 3 – BOMBAY – JAIPUR

Morning free at leisure for shopping. Afternoon transfer to airport to board flight for Jaipur. Stay at Hotel.

DAY 4 – JAIPUR

Morning excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the state until 1728. Visit the Jagmandir or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali.

Elephant ride to the Fort. Afternoon visit Maharaja’s city palace and the observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.

DAY 5 – JAIPUR – FATEPUR SIKRI – AGRA

Morning depart by car for Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned later due to scarcity of water. See the graceful building including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other palaces Later proceed to Agra and stay at Hotel.

DAY 6 – AGRA

Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor – Shah Jehan in memory of his queen Mumtaz Mahal. Also visit the Agra Fort containing  the halls of private and public audience and other palaces.

DAY 7 – AGRA – DELHI

Morning depart by car for Delhi. Stay at Hotel. Afternoon visit Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial), Lakshminarayan temple, drive past President’s House and Secretariat buildings. Also visit Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana and cremation sites of Mahatma Ghandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

DAY 8 – DELHI – BOMBAY

Day free for shopping. Late afternoon transfer to airport for flight to Bombay. On arrival proceed to international airport.

DAY 9 – DEPART BOMBAY

Board flight for onward destination.

Afternoon boat cruise on Pichola Lake, surrounded by hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Visit the Jag Palace island set in the lake.

DAY 5 – UDAIPUR – JAIPUR

 Full day free for shopping. Evening flight to Jaipur and stay at Hotel

DAY 6 – JAIPUR – MANDAWA

Morning visit Maharaja’s city palace and the observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.

Afternoon leave for Mandawa by car. Stay at Hotel. The terrace of the rugged castle provides a panoramic view of the town. See extraordinary Frescoes on the walls of the houses.

DAY 7 – MANDAWA – JAIPUR

Morning visit the Shekhawati region to see the frescoes and paintings. Afternoon leave for Jaipur by car and stay at Hotel.

DAY 8 – JAIPUR – FATHPUR – AGRA

DAY 10 – DELHI – BOMBAY
